Die letzten zwei Wochen war ich in Australien und habe dort unter anderem für die Queer Travel Reiseberichte recherchiert. Rod Stringer, der sympathische Vorsitzende von Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia, hat den Besuch direkt in einer Pressemitteilung thematisiert.
"GALTA chairman Rod Stringer, Directors Ray Mackereth, David Lacey and Brisbane representative Wally Cowin, hosted a visit to South East Queensland last week by German gay travel writer Tobias Sauer.
Tobias works with Queer Travel, the only travel magazine for Germany’s gay and lesbian community.
Queer Travel is published twice a year as supplement to magazines Siegessäule, Du+Ich and L-Mag with a total circulation of 100.000 copies. The webiste (www.queer-travel.net) is updated regularly. Tobias was researching material for an article on gay welcoming accommodations, bars and venues that will appeal to his magazine readership.
The trip was arranged by Tourism Queensland and coordinated by Peter Mierziak Senior Public Relations Manager for Tourism Queensland’s office in Munich.
Tobias was joined later that week by a larger group of German travel writers who visited Brisbane, Noosa, Fraser Island and Lady Elliot Island."
